@lotusandthesnake Feeling stressed? Timeless Reading -- If you let stress overtake you, you'll hold yourself back from going forward. The answer isn't always to remove stressors but to change the way you react and manage those stressors. You can make a big difference with little more effort than an imaginary hug to yourself. My name is Logan and I am an intuitive tarot card reader. I’ve given 100s tarot card readings since starting in 2018. Eventually, I practiced enough and reached enough people to start Lotus and the Snake with the goal of reaching more people.
Originally, the idea for Lotus and the Snake came from the answer, “what is the tattoo you’d get?” And from a very early age, I always had this symbol in mind: A lotus flower wrapped with a snake around the stem. Why those two symbols?
The Lotus Flower begins at the bottom of a body of water and must grow through a slow journey to reach the top, utilizing sunlight and hoping to not get torn in the process; to survive. After a while, the lotus flower grows and reaches the top of the water. It is this slow process of growth that represents the life’s journey. And this symbol is also a widely used spiritual symbol that many universally connect with.
The Snake is a contrasting symbol of wisdom and secrets, guarding the Lotus Flower’s growth process and using its intuition to see in the dark. The Snake represents our shadow self and how it protects our shining self.
I aim to see in the dark in my tarot readings, often only asking my clients to think of a question without telling me any details. Period. And the cards I pull tell their stories right in front of their faces, often including potential future outcomes. But no matter their question or the format of the pull I do, the hope is to help them reach the top of the water from each reading.
Each person, practice, or culture might have their own definitions for tarot reading. For me, tarot cards are a tool of divination that works through energy. I focus my intention on asking a question or request, then I shuffle the cards and let them come out during the process. Eventually, they paint a picture pertaining to the question.
Most symbols of divination require a “map” of understanding between the intuitive and the tool to interpret the messages or energies coming through. For tarot card reading, I have concepts from new-age resources and by trusting my own instincts in self-study. Flow and focus are critical in this process. And that’s how I’m able to pick up on what’s going on without even knowing a single detail about you.
